AI on the Factory Floor

Augmented Realm, in collaboration with Hitachi Energy in Ludvika, has successfully completed a pilot project showcasing the capabilities of AI on the factory floor.

During this project, we implemented several cutting-edge technologies, including voice recognition, large language model (LLM) chat functionality, multiple object detection systems, and a comprehensive portal for configuring each detected object.

Additionally, we utilized an advanced AR annotation tool to streamline the process of annotating objects, significantly simplifying the setup of tracking systems for each item.

A crucial aspect of our project involved engaging with union representatives, yielding encouraging results regarding the acceptance of these technologies. Factory workers, union officials, and product development teams alike recognized the potential benefits of this technological integration. Notably, it addressed a primary concern among workers: the fear of being replaced by robots. Instead, our solution presents an opportunity for human workers to enhance their productivity and maintain a competitive edge in an evolving industrial landscape.
